Compiling two days worth of tweets from Connecting Up 2011 was a huge task! Thankfully, the great people at Storify run a free online service which pulls in information from various sources to create online stories. Here's how we used it.

During Connecting Up 2011, Tweeters used the #CU11 tag to report on their thoughts and generate discussions around what was happening at the conference. It was great to see so many people getting involved over the two days (and during the workshop). It was also interesting seeing people who weren't at the conference also contributing to the stream as they commented on people's tweets.
One thing that we really wanted to do after the conference was to find a way to round-up some of the great tweets and resources that were shared at the through Twitter. However, getting back to the office and scrolling through over 40 sessions' worth of great tweets revealed quite a challenge.
Thankfully, there's Storify.
Storify is a free tool that lets you create your own stories, pulling in information from many different sources, including Twitter. It's quite simple to use, all I needed to do was to type in #CU11 into the Twitter search and it came up with all of tweets featuring the hashtag. You can also search without retweets, and to make it more interesting, search for tweets with links or images too.
Once you find what you want, you simply drag and drop them into the storyline. Easy.
The great thing about Storify is that it doesn't just rely on Twitter. You can include blog posts, YouTube videos and Flickr photos for example. In fact, you can pull information from just about any website. All you need to do is to know what you're searching for. If you have a Twitter account, you can start using Storify straight away. It's a great free service and one that might be useful for your nonprofit organisation.
