Community broadcasters from across Australia discussed how social media can help engage their audiences. Here are some tools and ideas that we talked about.
Ryan and I had the opportunity to run a workshop for community broadcasters at the 2011 CBAA conference in Surfer’s Paradise. While it was only a short stay, it was great to meet people who are dedicated to the communities they’re a part of.
As the world becomes more social via technology, social media will need to play an integral part in how broadcasters connect with their listeners. Being part of the social web also means radio broadcasters need to start thinking outside of their radio shows when it comes to content, using about other forms of media such as blog posts, photos and especially video.
Here are seven of our Connecting Up blog posts that look at some of the tools and ideas we spoke about during the workshop
Thanks to CBAA for having us!
