Four cybersecurity resources to protect your not-for-profit against scams

With not-for-profits being targeted by scams and fraud, it's important to be aware of what threats are out there and how to protect themselves.

Thanks to SCAMwatch, an initiative of the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission, there are number of resources you can use to help educate your not-for-profit about potential scams.

1. Stevie's Scam School

Stevie's Scam School is a light-hearted look at some of the potential scams your organisation might come across. You can watch the videos in the playlist below or head over to our YouTube channel for more.

2. The little black book of scams

The little black book of scams is a great little reference guide that highlights the top 10 scams often come across by Australian consumers. Not only does it explain what the scams are, it also offers tips on how to protect you and your organisation against them.

3. Scam Buster mobile app

The Scam Buster app developed by NSW Fair Trading offers a way to report a scam, get tips on how to bust a scam and learn about the current scams around Australia.

The app is available for free and makes it easy to stay safe and join the fight against con men right from your mobile phone.
