Heart and Soul come to Connecting Up Australia

It's an exciting time here in the Connecting Up office as we share the news about the CTK Foundation's Heart and Soul 2011 grants for nonprofit organisations in Australia and New Zealand

Over the past few months, we've been working with the CTK Foundation to bring their Heart and Soul grants to Australia and New Zealand. Earlier in the year, they offered over $25,000 USD in grants to nonprofit organisations in six different countries, and now they are offering over $15,000 USD worth of grants specifically for nonprofits over here.

It's fantastic news!

Applying for the grant isn't a drawn out process either. All you need to to is write a 4-8 line poem about what your nonprofit organisation does, and the successful applicants will be judged by a panel of writers from across Australia. Entries can come from staff, board members or volunteers, so find those creative writers and budding poets in your organisation and get them onto this.

The first place award includes $5,000 USD and also the production and recording of your poem as a song written by Stefon Taylor.

Other grants to be won include:

  • $1,000 USD Connecting Up Australia award
  • $1,000 USD Blogger's choice award
  • 10x $1,000 USD Technology grants for Apricot Software
  • 3x professionally produced video podcasts

It's really simple to apply, just write your poem and then head over to the CTK Foundation website and hit the "grant application" button.

To get you started, we've also had a lot of fun making these "how-not-to-enter" videos. Hope you enjoy them!
