We have just signed up in support of the National Compact and will be watching with a keen eye the conversations and developments that progress. We believe firmly that there needs to be more support for the capacity development of the sector and greater advocacy on our shared issues.
About the National Compact:
The National Compact reflects the commitment of the Government and the Third (not-for-profit) Sector to find new and better ways to work together. This collaborative relationship will allow us to work on the challenges we face, build a stronger Third Sector in Australia and through this, drive innovation, wellbeing and sustainability in our communities.
We encourage you to regularly visit the new National Compact website www.nationalcompact.gov.au where you can download a copy of the National Compact, participate in ‘Compact conversations’ and find out more about how you can get involved and view updates as the National Compact action plans are developed.
