The Connecting Up 2011 conference will be at the Crown Conference Centre, Melbourne over three days, featuring a number of guest speakers from Australia and overseas. This year's keynote speakers are Holly Ross and from the USA and Heather Gold from Canada. They will be addressing key issues facing the nonprofit sector in leadership and effective communication with your stakeholders.   Don't know anyone here? Not for long!
You will be randomly allocated to a room and group of 10 not-for-profit organisations (other delegates are free to be part of the audience for any group). Each not-for-profit will get 3 minutes to tell the group what their organisation does and what they'd like to learn, then the group will have 5 minutes to share as many helpful suggestions as possible, and then on to the next member and so on. Presentations and questions will be strictly timed to give everyone a go (hence the gong session) and there will be time at the end to share business cards, arrange to talk over lunch etc.
