"Open" is a term used in many contexts. We will try to unravel the ideas and concepts and how the idea of open is used in different settings. We’ll talk through Open Source, Open data, Open licensing, Open Government and Open democracy (to name a few) and look at the perils, pitfalls and community benefits that can arise from a more open society. We’ll also look particularly at how not-for-profit organisations can benefit by both using Open and by being Open.
