One of the country's leading children's charities has set up a special event to coincide with Australia Day celebrations.
The Starlight Foundation has begun preparations for a nationwide event that will see generous attendees host a BBQ to raise funds for a good cause.
On January 26, the charity organisation is inviting people to "throw a snag on the barbie for seriously ill and hospitalised kids" while collecting donations.
The aptly named StarBQ event has its own dedicated website with simple instructions on how to register and promote the cause - with links to pre-filled posters and invitations allowing hosts to just download and print the nonprofit marketing material directly.
It also features directions to the event's Facebook page and encourages participants to tweet about their attendance with a special hashtag.
Details on how the funds raised will be put to use are also featured prominently - as is the donation leaderboard.
The StarBQ event is being publicised nationwide, potentially providing the Starlight Foundation with increased recognition in addition to a funding boost.
