The Australian not-for-profit sector will begin its journey back to normal after Prime Minister Scott Morrison revealed the first step to a COVIDSafe Australia will allow Australians to gather in larger numbers and resume travel around their state and territory.
The Prime Minister this afternoon revealed a three-step plan following a National Cabinet meeting with state and territory leaders.

While states and territories will move at their own place and there will be differences between states and territories depending on the local COVID-19 situation, some broad changes were announced.
These include the following:
- Five visitors will be allowed at home
- Ten people will be allowed to gather in business and public places
- Gatherings of up to 10 in business and public places
- Small restaurants, cafes and shops can open
- Home sales and in-person auctions can resume
- Children can return to classrooms
- Libraries, community centres, playgrounds and outdoor boot camps can reopen
- Local and regional travel resume
Already, there are different rules in place for different regions around the country.
Victoria has signalled that it will continue with a more cautious approach, while NSW will also move slowly.
Queensland is to allow groups of five to visit other houses from Sunday, while the NT, WA and SA have the least restrictive jurisdictions.
Tasmania and the ACT are also yet to introduce any significant roll back in restrictions.
