The programmable buttons have dual colored LED indicators built into the buttons to alert users to the status of lines, extensions, status groups, or other feature keys. Four soft keys are also included for dynamic access to commonly used features on the Toshiba DP5122-SD. The stand of the phone is adjustable, allowing users to adjust the angle of their phone. A headset jack has been built into the Toshiba DP5122-SD for handsfree communication.

Provision for retro fitting the A 2073 alert/evac/bell tone generator is provided. Outputs are 600Ω/0dBm XLR balanced or twin RCA record/tape out. LED VU meter and headphone socket are provided.
