The Infoxchange team is going Dry this July to help raise funds and awareness for our partners and community at Ovarian Cancer Australia. That means we’ll be joining hundreds of thousands of Australians to take part in what has become a national movement - a month where we put away the booze and commit ourselves to a greater cause. For many, Dry July is the perfect opportunity to give our bodies a rest, focus on our health, and even save a bit of money. The best part? All proceeds raised through Dry July will support Australians living with cancer. Where it all began In 2008, three friends, Brett, Kenny and Phil, wanted to take a break from alcohol, so they decided to go sober for July, coining it their 'Dry July'. They also wanted to raise money for a cause close to their hearts, so they asked friends and family to sponsor them.Posted on 21/07/2021 by -

After some time in deliberation, the Privacy Amendment (Notifiable Data Breaches) Bill 2016 became law on 23rd February 2018. The amendment established a mandatory data breach notification scheme in Australia. What is Mandatory Data Breach Notification? It's a scheme that requires all entities subject to the Privacy Act to notify the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) and individuals who may be affected in the event of a data breach. The intention is to ensure that people have the opportunity to take steps to protect their personal information if a breach occurs. Put simply, if someone gains unauthorised access to your data, and your data contains personal or sensitive information, you are required to notify both the OAIC and the people whose information is stored in your system.Posted on 14/03/2018 by -
