The VNX5200 is designed for the entry space. This model supports block, file, and unified configurations, and utilizes a DPE (disk processor enclosure) chassis. The SPs in this model use a 1.2 GHz, four-core Xeon E5 processor with 16 GB of RAM, supporting a maximum of 125 drives with the following host connectivity options: FC, iSCSI, and FCoE. This model uses a DPE that is available in a 25 x 2.5” drive form factor. The VNX Operating Environment boots from the first four drives on the DPE, known as Vault drives.

DS2246 disk shelf The NetApp DS2246 is our performance-optimized disk shelf that packs 24 drives in only 2U of rack space by using SFF drives. Compared to the 4U-high DS4243 disk shelf, the DS2246 doubles the storage density, increases performance density (IOPS per rack unit) by 60%, and reduces power consumption by 30% to 50%.

It features dual expansion canisters and holds up to twelve (12) 3.5-inch 6Gb SAS drives in a compact 2U, 19-inch rack mount enclosure. It is supported with both the Storwize V3700 LFF Dual Control Enclosure and the Storwize V3700 SFF Dual Control Enclosure. NOTE: RAILS ARE NOT INCLUDED. THERE ARE NO HARD DRIVES OR CADDIES.
